Enhanced Contact Tag Management Experience

Prevent accidental tag updates and unintended workflow triggers with the new Apply and Cancel confirmation flow for contact tag management.

Who This Is For

This update is for:

  • Teams using tags to trigger workflows or automations

  • Sales and support users managing contact organization

  • Businesses relying on tag-based segmentation

  • Users who need safer, more intentional contact updates

Use this feature when managing contact tags inside the Contacts module.

What Changed

The Contacts module now includes confirmation controls when adding or removing tags from a contact record.

Previously, selecting or deselecting a tag immediately applied the change. This could unintentionally trigger workflows tied to tag automation.

With this update, tag changes are only applied after confirmation.

New Features

Apply Button for Tag Changes

Tag selections are now staged before being saved.

Users must click Apply to confirm adding or removing tags.

Cancel Button for Discarding Changes

Users can click Cancel to discard any pending tag changes before they are applied.

This prevents accidental updates to contact records.

Double Confirmation for Tag Updates

Both adding and removing tags now require confirmation before changes are committed.

This ensures workflows tied to tag automation only run after intentional updates.

Safer Workflow Triggering

Tag-based workflows no longer trigger from accidental clicks inside the dropdown.

Workflows only execute after confirmed tag updates.

How to Add or Remove Tags

  1. Open a contact record in the Contacts module.

  2. Click the Tags dropdown.

  3. Select or deselect the tags you want to update.

  4. Review your pending changes.

  5. Click Apply to save changes.

  6. Click Cancel to discard changes.
