Who This Is For / When to Use
Use this feature when you need to quickly locate or update repeated values, tags, or text across a workflow without manually opening each step.
Access Find & Replace
Open a workflow in the Builder.
Click the Search (🔍) icon or press:
Alt + F (Windows)
Option + F (Mac)
The Find panel will open on the left.
Search Within a Workflow
In the Find panel, choose what to search:
Custom values
Tags
Text
Enter your search term.
Review results:
Matching results appear instantly.
The first match opens automatically.
The builder moves to the corresponding step on the canvas.
Navigate between results:
Click through matches.
The canvas automatically jumps to each selected step.
Replace Values or Tags
Enable Replace in the Find panel.
Select a replacement value from the picker.
Choose one:
Replace → updates the current match
Replace All → updates all supported matches in the workflow
Supported replacements:

Tags

Update a Tag Across a Workflow
Find:

Works within one workflow only.
Search is:
Case-insensitive

Cannot replace them

Automatically moves the canvas to the selected result

Use the Undo button to revert changes

Common Issues and Fixes
Replace option is not available
Ensure you are searching for custom values or tags, not text.
Changes did not apply to all steps
Use Replace All instead of Replace.
Cannot replace step or trigger names
This is not supported. Only search is available for these fields.
Cannot find expected results
Check for partial matches or variations in spelling.
Confirm you selected the correct search type (text, tags, or custom values).

No. Find & Replace only works within the currently open workflow.
What types of data can be replaced?
Only custom values and tags can be replaced.
Can I replace text inside steps?
No. Text can be searched but not replaced.
Is the search case-sensitive?
No. Search is case-insensitive and supports partial matches.
Can I undo changes after replacing?
Yes. Use the Undo action in the builder to revert changes.
