Document Builder
The Document Builder provides a drag-and-drop interface for creating and customizing documents and contracts.
Within the builder, users can add multiple elements to structure documents efficiently, including the Product List element.
The Product List element allows you to add detailed product information to documents and contracts, including pricing behavior and signer controls.
Product List Element Overview
The Product List element is used to display products selected for a document and control how signers interact with those products.
It supports optional items, quantity controls, recipient assignment, and real-time total calculations.

Document creators can mark products as optional.
Signers can choose to include or exclude optional items during signing.

Quantity fields can be enabled or disabled.
Minimum and maximum quantity limits can be set to control selections.

How to Use These Features
Navigate to Payments in the left menu.
Select Documents and Contracts at the top.
Create a new document or open an existing document.
In the Document Builder, add a Product List element.
Add a new product and search your product catalog to select the desired product.
Add product images if needed.
Enable quantity editing using the Edit Quantity toggle.
Set minimum and maximum quantity limits if required.
Make products selectable or unselectable using the Optional Item toggle.
Enter custom values into fillable text fields as needed.
Click Convert to Template to save fields with values intact.
Additional Features
Cloning Documents
Cloning allows users to duplicate existing documents without converting them into templates.
This is useful for sending similar documents with minor changes.
How to Use:
Navigate to Documents and Contracts.
Open the document list or sub-menu options.
Select Clone.
A duplicate document is created with the name “Document Name Copy.”
Payment Scheduling
Payment Scheduling allows document creators to add flexible payment plans directly to the product list.
Signers can view payment details before signing, ensuring clarity and transparency.
How to Use:
In the document editor, open the left drawer.
Click Add Payment Schedule or select it from the product list.
Configure the payment schedule in the modal:
First payment due: Choose signing date or a custom date.
Subsequent payments: Choose fixed intervals or custom dates.
Invoice due date: Automatically reflects the final scheduled payment.
Amounts: Set fixed amounts or percentage-based payments.
Remaining balance: View the unpaid balance under the total amount.
Save the payment schedule.
Enable Auto Payments to automatically deduct subsequent payments as scheduled.
Once saved, signers can view the full payment breakdown in the product list.
Split Column
The split-column feature allows content to be displayed side by side within documents and contracts.
This helps organize layouts with text, images, tables, or other elements.
How It Works:
Drag one element next to another in the document editor.
The builder automatically creates a split-column layout.
Custom Value Linkage
Custom Value Linkage allows text and date fields to sync with custom values.
Linked fields automatically update related records after signing.
How It Works:
In the document editor, link any text or date field to a custom value.
Send the document for signing.
Once signed:
Linked values update automatically in the contact or document record.
Download a CSV of completed fields from the dashboard for reporting or analysis.

Can I add multiple optional items to the product list?
Yes. You can add multiple optional items, and each item can be toggled on or off by the signer.
Is there a limit to the number of products I can add to a document?
There is no set limit. However, keeping the product list manageable helps maintain a clean and professional layout.
Can I link a text field to a contact’s name or email?
Yes. Text fields can be linked to custom contact values such as name, email, or other data fields.
How do I ensure the total amount reflects quantity changes?
Enable quantity editing for each product and set appropriate limits. The total amount updates dynamically based on selections and quantities.
What happens if a signer changes the quantity of an optional product?
The total amount updates automatically. Any minimum or maximum quantity restrictions remain enforced.
Can signers see the full payment breakdown before signing?
Yes. The payment schedule, including due dates and amounts, is visible in the product list before signing.
Can I adjust the width of each column in a split layout?
No. Split columns are automatically balanced, but spacing and alignment can be adjusted manually within the editor.
What happens if a linked custom value changes after the document is signed?
Signed documents retain the values at the time of signing. Changes apply only to future documents.
Can I clone any document?
Yes. Any existing document can be cloned.
Is there a limit to how many documents I can clone?
No. There are no cloning limits, but managing duplicates is recommended.
What happens to the original document when I clone it?
The original document remains unchanged. A new copy is created with “Copy” added to the name.
How do I insert custom values into documents?
Enter information into fillable text fields and click Convert to Template to save the values.
Can I set up automatic payments for multi-installment plans?
Yes. Enable the Auto Payments toggle when configuring a payment schedule to automatically collect future payments.
