How Time Delay Works in Kyrios

Kyrios does not use a separate “time delay” element.
Time delay is achieved by combining:

  • Hidden element visibility

  • Minute Timer

  • Expire Actions

The Minute Timer controls when hidden elements are shown or hidden.

Step 1: Hide the Element You Want to Delay

Before an element can appear later, it must be hidden first.

Steps

  1. Click the element you want to delay.

  2. In the right-hand settings panel, open Advanced Settings.

  3. Scroll to Visibility.

  4. Disable visibility for Desktop and Mobile.

Result
The element is now hidden and ready to be revealed by a timer.

Step 2: Add a Minute Timer to the Page

The Minute Timer controls the delay duration.

Steps

  1. Click the + icon in the top-left builder menu.

  2. Open Quick Add.

  3. Select Countdown.

  4. Choose Minute Timer.

  5. The timer will appear at the top of the page.

Step 3: Set the Timer Duration

Define how long the delay should last.

Steps

  1. Click the Minute Timer.

  2. In the right-hand panel, stay on General.

  3. Set the Hours, Minutes, or Seconds.

  4. Leave unused fields set to 0.

Example

  • 45 seconds delay → Minutes: 0, Seconds: 45

  • 3 minute delay → Minutes: 3, Seconds: 0

Step 4: Link the Timer to the Hidden Element

This step controls what happens when the timer ends.

Steps

  1. Scroll to Expire Actions.

  2. Select Show & Hide Element.

  3. Click Show Elements.

  4. Check the element(s) you want to appear.

  5. Click Save.

Result
When the timer expires, the selected elements become visible.

Step 5: Hide the Timer (Optional)

You can keep the timer functional without showing it to visitors.

Steps

  1. Click the Minute Timer.

  2. Open Advanced in the right panel.

  3. Scroll to Visibility.

  4. Disable visibility for Desktop and Mobile.

  5. Save.

Result
The timer runs invisibly while still triggering the delay.

Managing Hidden Elements (Recovery Tip)

If you hide an element by mistake:

Steps

  1. Go to Elements > Manage.

  2. Find the hidden element.

  3. Click the eyeball icon to toggle visibility.

This does not affect the timer logic.

Common Issues and Fixes

Element never appears

  • Confirm the element is selected under Expire Actions

  • Ensure the timer duration is not set to 0

The timer shows when it shouldn’t

  • Check the Visibility settings on the Minute Timer

Mobile works, but the desktop does not

  • Verify visibility settings are disabled or enabled consistently for both views
