Use the Link Shortener if you:
Share long URLs in social posts.
Want clean, branded links in previews.
Need click tracking and UTM attribution for social traffic.
Manage campaigns that require consistent link naming.
Accessing the Social Planner
Open Marketing from the left sidebar.
Select Social Planner.
Creating a Social Post
Click + New Post.
Select the social profile(s) under Post to.
Enter your post content in the editor.
Opening the Link Shortener
In the post editor toolbar, click the Link icon.
The Insert Shortened Link modal opens.
Generating a Shortened Link
Select Generate New Link.
Enter a Name of the Link.
Enter the Target URL (original long URL).
Adding Tracking and Campaigns
UTM Parameters
The Link Shortener automatically supports:
UTM Campaign (utm_campaign) β required
UTM Source (utm_source) β default:
socialUTM Medium (utm_medium) β optional
Creating a New Campaign
Click the UTM Campaign field.
Type a new campaign name.
Select + Add Campaign.
Inserting the Shortened Link
Click Generate and Insert Link.
The shortened link is inserted into the post.
Important Behavior
The editor may still display the long URL.
The post preview always shows the shortened link.
Publishing or Scheduling
Review the post preview.
Choose Post, Schedule, or Save for later.
Scheduled posts retain the shortened link.
Managing Existing Shortened Links
All generated links remain active unless deleted.
Links continue redirecting to the original URL.
Click tracking data remains associated with the campaign.
Common Issues and Fixes
Link Does Not Generate
Confirm the Target URL starts with
https://.Remove unsupported characters.
Retry link generation.
Campaign Not Appearing
Ensure the campaign name is unique.
Use Add Campaign if no results appear.
Preview Shows Long URL
This is expected behavior.
Published posts display the shortened link.

Yes. Any valid web URL can be shortened.
Do shortened links redirect to the original URL?
Yes. All shortened links redirect automatically to the original destination.
Are shortened links permanent?
Yes. Links remain active unless manually deleted or disabled.
Can I track clicks on shortened links?
Yes. Click tracking is available through campaign and analytics data.
Can I delete or disable a shortened link?
Yes. Shortened links can be managed from account settings.
What happens if I reuse the same link name?
Link names must be unique. Use a different name for each shortened link.
