Creating and Updating Global Sections in the Website Builder

Global Sections let you reuse and sync sections across multiple pages so updates are applied consistently wherever the section is used.

What Is a Global Section

A Global Section is a reusable section that syncs changes across all pages where it is added.

Part 1: Creating and Saving a Global Section

Add a New Section

  1. Open the Website Builder

  2. Click the + icon in the top-left toolbar

  3. Select a section layout (Full Width, Wide, Medium, or Small)

Edit the Section Content

  • Add rows, columns, and elements

  • Customize text, images, buttons, and styles

Save the Section as a Global Section

  1. Click the Layers icon

  2. Select the section

  3. Click the three-dot menu

  4. Choose Save Section

Name and Save as Global Section

  1. Enter a section name

  2. Select Global Sections

  3. Click Save

Part 2: Adding a Saved Global Section to a Page

Open Global Sections Library

  1. Click the + icon

  2. Go to Saved Assets

  3. Select Global Sections

Add the Global Section to the Page

  • Drag and drop the saved global section into the page layout

  • Position it where needed (top, middle, or bottom)

Updating a Global Section

Any edits made to a Global Section automatically update all pages where it exists.

How Updates Work

  • Edit the section on any page

  • Save changes

  • Updates sync automatically across all instances

Important Notes

  • Global Sections must be added manually to each page

  • Removing a Global Section from a page does not delete it from the library

  • Global Sections and Universal Sections behave differently
