What Is the Hosted Video Element?

The Hosted Video Element allows you to:

  • Upload videos to Kyrios Media Storage

  • Embed videos inside funnel pages

  • Control playback behavior

  • Track viewer progress for automation

Hosted videos support encoding, multiple playback qualities, and workflow tracking.

  1. Navigate to Sites β†’ Funnels.

  2. Select the funnel you want to edit.

  3. Open the desired funnel step.

  4. Click Edit to open the page builder.

Step 2: Add the Video Element

  1. Click the + icon in the top-left toolbar.

  2. Select Elements.

  3. Choose Video from the Media section.

The Video element is added to the page.

Step 3: Select Hosted Video Type

  1. Click the Video element to open settings.

  2. Under General β†’ Element Options, locate Video Type.

  3. Select Hosted Video from the dropdown.

Hosted Video enables encoding and tracking features.

Step 4: Upload or Select a Video

  1. Click Select Video.

  2. Choose an existing video from Media Storage, or upload a new file.

  3. Once the video loads, double-click the video to start encoding.

Encoding is required for playback quality options and tracking.

Step 5: Configure Playback Controls

In the General tab, configure playback behavior:

  • Autoplay (muted by default)

  • Loop

  • Play/Pause toggle

  • Playback speed control

  • Fullscreen toggle

  • Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

  • Progress bar visibility

These settings control how visitors interact with the video.

Step 6: Disable Progress Bar for Accurate Tracking

To enable accurate video tracking:

  1. Select the Video element.

  2. Turn off the Show Progress Bar toggle.

Leaving the progress bar enabled allows scrubbing, which reduces tracking accuracy.

Step 7: Gate Video Access for Unregistered Visitors (Optional)

To capture leads before video access:

  1. Create a separate funnel page with a Form.

  2. Use this page to collect contact information.

  3. Set this page as the redirect destination for unregistered viewers.

  4. Ensure both pages are in the same funnel.

This ensures viewers are registered before continuing.

Step 8: Automate Actions Using Video Tracking

After publishing:

  1. Go to Automations β†’ Workflows.

  2. Create a trigger using Video Tracking.

  3. Apply filters such as:

    • Video watched

    • Percentage viewed

  4. Add actions like tagging, SMS, email, or follow-ups.

Video tracking depends on encoding and progress bar settings.
