How to Manually Attribute Sales to Affiliates

Manually attribute existing customer transactions to an affiliate when affiliate links were not used or when sales occurred offline.

Use this feature if you:

  • Need to credit an affiliate for a sale that was not tracked automatically

  • Want to attribute offline or manually created invoices to an affiliate

  • Need to fix missing or incorrect affiliate attribution

  • Manage affiliate performance and commissions manually

What Is Manual Sale Attribution?

Manual Sale Attribution allows admins to assign existing customer transactions to an affiliate after the sale has already occurred.

This ensures:

  • Accurate affiliate commission tracking

  • Proper revenue attribution

  • Complete affiliate performance reporting

Manual attribution does not create new sales.
It links existing transactions to an affiliate.

Where to Access Manual Sale Attribution

Manual sale attribution is available inside the Affiliate Manager.

Navigation Path:
Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Affiliates

How to Manually Attribute Sales to an Affiliate

Step 1: Open the Affiliate Manager

Go to Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Affiliates to view all affiliates.

Step 2: Select “Add Manual Sales”

Locate the affiliate you want to credit.

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the affiliate row

  2. Select Add Manual Sales

Step 3: Select the Customer Email

In the modal:

  1. Click the Customer Email field

  2. Search and select the customer by name or email

Only existing customers with transactions will appear.

Step 4: Select the Campaign

Choose the affiliate campaign you want the sale attributed to.

This determines:

  • Commission rules

  • Attribution logic

  • Reporting placement

Step 5: Choose Transactions to Attribute

Kyrios will display all eligible transactions for the selected customer.

  1. Review the transaction list

  2. Select one or more transactions to attribute

  3. Click Submit

Step 6: Confirm Attribution

After submission:

  • A confirmation message appears

  • Attribution processing begins

  • Sales may take a few minutes to appear in the affiliate’s data

What Happens After Attribution

Once processed:

  • The affiliate’s Revenue, Customers, and Commission update

  • The attributed customer appears in the affiliate detail view

  • Affiliate reporting reflects the newly attributed sale

No duplicate transactions are created.

Common Issues and Fixes

Customer Does Not Appear in Search

  • The customer must already exist in the CRM

  • The customer must have at least one completed transaction

Transactions Not Visible

  • Only completed transactions can be attributed

  • Recently created invoices may need a few minutes to sync

Attribution Not Showing Immediately

  • Manual attribution can take several minutes to process

  • Refresh the affiliate page after waiting briefly

Can I attribute offline sales to affiliates?

Yes. As long as the sale exists in Kyrios as a transaction or invoice, it can be manually attributed.

Does manual attribution create new sales?

No. Manual attribution only links existing transactions to an affiliate.

Can I attribute multiple transactions at once?

Yes. You can select multiple transactions for the same customer in a single action.

Can a single sale be attributed to multiple affiliates?

No. Each transaction can only be attributed to one affiliate.

Do manually attributed sales count toward commissions?

Yes. Manually attributed sales follow the same commission rules as automatically tracked sales.

Can I restrict who can use this feature?

Yes. Access is controlled by user permissions and roles.

How long does it take for attributed sales to appear?

Typically a few minutes. Refresh the affiliate view after processing completes.
