  • Highlight an important or high-performing blog post

  • Promote evergreen or cornerstone content

  • Draw attention to announcements or campaigns

  • Control which post appears prominently on your blog site

What Is a Featured Post

A Featured Post is a dedicated blog element that displays one selected published blog post in a prominent layout on your blog site.

Key characteristics:

  • Only published blog posts can be featured

  • The content shown is dynamically pulled from the selected post

  • The featured display updates automatically if the post is edited

Where Featured Posts Appear

Featured Posts are added inside the Blog Site editor and appear on the live blog site layout, typically near the top of the page or between sections.

They are configured using the Featured Post element.

Step 1: Open the Blog Site You Want to Edit

  1. Go to Sites โ†’ Blogs

  2. Locate the blog site you want to update

  3. Click the blog site name

Only blog sites with Live or Draft status can be edited.

Step 2: Open the Blog Site Editor

Inside the selected blog site:

  1. Click Edit Blog Site

  2. This opens the site builder view for the blog

This is where layout elements, including Featured Posts, are added.

Step 3: Add the Featured Post Element

  1. In the site builder, open Quick Add

  2. Scroll to the Blog section

  3. Drag and drop Featured Post onto the page

Place it where you want the featured content to appear.

Step 4: Select the Blog Post to Feature

After adding the element:

  1. Open the Featured Post settings panel

  2. Click Select blog post

  3. Choose a published blog post from the list

Draft posts will not appear as selectable options.

Step 5: Configure Layout and Display Options

Within the Featured Post settings, you can:

  • Choose Image on Left or Image on Right

  • Toggle visibility for:

    • Image

    • Title

    • Tags

    • Author

    • Publish Date

    • Description

These options control what information is shown in the featured section.

Step 6: Save and Publish the Blog Site

  1. Save your changes in the editor

  2. Publish the blog site

The featured post will now appear live on the blog site.

Common Issues and Fixes

I canโ€™t find a blog post to select
Only published blog posts can be featured. Publish the post first.

Featured Post is not visible on the live site
Ensure the blog site itself is published, not just the blog post.

Content looks different in preview vs live
Featured Post content always reflects the latest published version of the blog post.

  • Rotate featured posts during campaigns or promotions

  • Keep featured post titles clear and compelling
