QR Code Builder: Instant Testing and Easy Link Sharing

The QR Code Builder supports real-time QR testing during creation and instant link sharing without requiring a download.

Updated over 2 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

This update is for users who create QR Codes and want to validate them immediately or share QR Code links digitally without exporting image files.

Shareable QR Code Links in the Builder

You can now copy and share a QR Code link directly from the QR Code Builder.

What this enables:

  • Share QR Codes digitally without downloading image files

  • Test QR Codes by opening the link in a browser

  • Faster collaboration and link-based distribution

The copy link option appears next to the Download button in the Builder preview.

Real-Time QR Code Testing During Creation

QR Codes can now be tested before saving them.

How real-time testing works:

  • The Builder temporarily stores the entered QR data (such as URLs or phone numbers)

  • A testable QR Code is generated instantly in the preview

  • You can scan or open the QR Code link before saving

This removes the need to save, test, and edit QR Codes after creation.

How the Updated QR Code Builder Works

  1. Choose a QR Code type.

  2. Enter the required information.

  3. The Builder temporarily saves the input data.

  4. A live QR Code preview is generated.

  5. Use Copy Link to test or share the QR Code.

  6. Save the QR Code when ready.

Notes and Limitations

  • Temporary data used for testing is finalized only after saving

  • Copy Link shares the QR Code URL, not the image file

  • QR Code appearance settings do not affect link functionality
