Offer Validity and Access lets you control when course access starts and ends for an offer, using start dates, time limits, or both.

Updated over 3 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this feature if you sell courses, memberships, or coaching programs and need time-based access control for marketing campaigns, launches, or fixed-term contracts.

What Is Offer Validity and Access

Offer Validity and Access defines when members can access products included in an offer after purchase. Access rules apply automatically and remove the need for manual tracking.

You can:

  • Start access on a specific date

  • Limit access to a fixed number of days

  • Combine both rules

How Offer Access Works

Access rules are configured at the offer level and apply to all products added to the offer.

When access expires:

  • Members lose access automatically

  • No manual revocation is required

  • Access can be extended only by editing the offer or purchasing a new one

Set Offer Access Rules

Step 1: Open the Offer

  1. Go to Memberships

  2. Hover over Courses

  3. Select Offers

  4. Open the offer you want to edit

Step 2: Configure Offer Access

Locate the Offer Access panel on the right side of the offer editor.

You can enable one or both options:

  • Begin access at specific date

  • Restrict access to specific amount of days

Offer Access Configuration Options

Access Start Date Only

Use when access should begin on a fixed date.

Examples:

  • Course cohort start dates

  • Scheduled program launches

  • Early-access campaigns

Members cannot access content before the selected date.

Access Duration Only (Number of Days)

Use when access should begin immediately and expire after a fixed time.

Examples:

  • 7-day replay access

  • 30-day short courses

  • Limited-time promotions

Access starts at purchase and expires automatically.

Start Date + Number of Days

Use when access must start on a specific date and end after a defined period.

Examples:

  • 90-day coaching programs

  • Fixed-term contracts

  • Group programs with a defined lifecycle

Using Offer Validity for Coaching Programs

Offer Validity is ideal for coaching and mentorship programs.

You can:

  • Set the coaching start date

  • Define contract duration (30, 60, 90 days)

  • Automatically remove access when the program ends

This ensures clean access management without manual follow-up.

Using Offer Validity for Launches and Challenges

For launches, challenges, or events:

  • Limit replay access to a fixed number of days

  • Create urgency with expiring access

  • Increase completion and engagement rates

Members are clearly informed that access will expire.

Custom Values in Offers, Courses, and Lessons

Offer Validity supports Custom Values for personalization across content.

You can insert Custom Values in:

  • Offer descriptions

  • Course lessons

  • Checkout content

Available Custom Value Types

  • Contact-based: Personal details per member

  • Time-based: Countdown timers and deadlines

  • Course-based: Course name or category

  • Location-based: Geographic personalization

Managing Access for Existing Members

When a member:

  • Purchases a new offer

  • Upgrades an existing offer

The most recent offer validity rules take priority.

This ensures uninterrupted access using the latest purchase terms.

Revoke Access to Individual Courses

Admins can revoke access to a single course without affecting other courses in the same offer.

How to Revoke Course Access

  1. Open the member profile

  2. Go to the Products tab

  3. Select the course

  4. Click Revoke Access

The member retains access to all other products in the offer.
