Workflow Trigger: Product Completed

The Product Completed workflow trigger starts a workflow when a contact completes a selected membership product.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this trigger when you want to automate actions immediately after a contact finishes a membership product, such as sending certificates, surveys, follow-ups, or access to next-step offers.

What the Product Completed Trigger Does

When a contact completes the final lesson of a membership product, Kyrios immediately:

  • Marks the product as completed

  • Enrolls the contact into any workflow using the Product Completed trigger (if filters match)

The trigger fires every time a product is completed unless restricted by filters.

Step 1: Create or Open a Workflow

  1. Go to Automations > Workflows.

  2. Click Create Workflow, or open an existing workflow to edit.

Step 2: Add the Product Completed Trigger

  1. In the workflow canvas, click Add New Trigger.

  1. In the trigger selector:

    • Search for Product

    • Select Product Completed under Courses

Step 3: Configure the Trigger

Choose the Trigger Type

  • Confirm Product Completed is selected in Choose a Workflow Trigger.

Rename the Trigger (Optional)

  • Edit Workflow Trigger Name if needed.

  • This only changes the label inside the workflow builder.

  • It does not affect trigger behavior or customer-facing content.

Step 4: Add Filters (Optional but Recommended)

Filters control which products can trigger the workflow.

  1. Click Add filters.

Filter by Product

  • Product β†’ Is any of

    • Triggers only when selected products are completed.

  • Product β†’ Is none of

    • Triggers for all products except the selected ones.

Additional Filters

  • You may also filter by Custom Fields to restrict enrollment to specific contacts.

Important Behavior

  • If no filters are added, the workflow triggers for every completed membership product.

  1. Click Save Trigger.

Step 5: Add Workflow Actions

After the trigger, add any actions you need, such as:

  • Send Email

  • Send SMS

  • Add Tag

  • Grant or remove access

  • Notify a team member

  • Enroll in another workflow

You may also leave the workflow with no actions if the trigger itself is being used for tracking or testing.

Step 6: Save, Test, and Publish

  1. Click Save in the top-right corner.

  2. Use Test Workflow to validate trigger behavior.

  3. Toggle Publish to enable the workflow.

Common Issues and Fixes

Workflow does not trigger

  • Confirm the workflow is Published.

  • Verify the contact completed the final lesson, not just a section.

  • Check that filters match the completed product.

Trigger fires for the wrong product

  • Review Product filter logic.

  • Confirm Is any of vs Is none of is set correctly.

Duplicate actions occur

  • The trigger fires each time a product is completed.

  • Use conditions or wait steps if duplicate actions must be prevented.
