Company Notes

Company Notes let your team add, view, filter, sort, edit, and delete notes that are linked to contacts and visible within a company record.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use Company Notes when multiple users need shared context about a company, including conversations, updates, or internal collaboration notes tied to specific contacts.


How to View Company Notes

  1. Go to CRM from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Companies.

  3. Open the company you want to view.

  4. Click the Notes tab in the right-side panel.

All notes created by your team for this company appear here in chronological order.


How to Add a Note to a Company

Option 1: Add a Note from the Company Record

  1. Open the company record.

  2. Click + Add Note at the top of the Notes panel.

  3. Enter the Note description.

  4. Select the associated Contact (required).

  5. Click Create.

The note is saved and immediately visible in the company’s Notes list.


Option 2: Add a Note from a Contact Record

  1. Open the Contact associated with the company.

  2. Open the Notes panel.

  3. Click Add Note.

  4. Enter the note and save.

The note appears both in the contact record and in the associated company’s Notes tab.


How to Filter Notes by Contact

  1. In the company’s Notes tab, click the Filter icon.

  2. Use Associated contacts to select a specific contact.

  3. Apply the filter.

Only notes linked to the selected contact are shown.


How to Sort Notes

  1. Click the Sort icon in the Notes panel.

  2. Choose Date created.

Notes are reordered based on creation time.


How to Search Notes

  1. Use the Search field at the top of the Notes panel.

  2. Enter keywords from the note description.

Matching notes are displayed instantly.


How to Edit or Delete a Note

  1. Locate the note in the Notes list.

  2. Click the three-dot menu on the note.

  3. Select:

    • Edit to update the note content.

    • Delete to permanently remove the note.

Changes apply immediately.


Visibility and Permissions

  • Notes are visible to users who have access to the company and contact.

  • Each note shows:

    • Creation date and time

    • Creator name

    • Associated contact


Common Issues and Fixes

Note does not appear

  • Refresh the page.

  • Clear active filters.

  • Confirm the note was saved successfully.

Cannot add a note

  • Ensure a Contact is selected (required).

  • Confirm you have permission to edit CRM records.

Notes panel shows “No notes found”

  • Check filters and search terms.

  • Add a new note to populate the panel.
