What Gamification Includes
Kyrios Communities Gamification is made up of four core elements:
Points
Levels
Leaderboards
Rewards
Each element works independently and together to motivate consistent participation.
Points
Members earn points when others interact with their content.
1 like = 1 point
Points are earned from likes on posts and comments
Points encourage high-quality contributions and interaction
Shows the Points & Levels explanation modal visible to members
Levels
Levels represent a member’s progress based on total points earned.
Levels increase automatically as points accumulate
A blue badge with a number appears on the member’s avatar
Progress toward the next level is visible on the leaderboard screen
Example level thresholds:
Level 1 – 0 points
Level 2 – 5 points
Level 3 – 20 points
Level 4 – 65 points
Level 5 – 155 points
Level 6 – 515 points
Level 7 – 2015 points
Level 8 – 8015 points
Level 9 – 33015 points
Leaderboards
Leaderboards show the most active members based on points earned.
Members can view:
7-day leaderboard
30-day leaderboard
All-time leaderboard
This creates healthy competition and visibility for top contributors.
Shows the Leaderboard tab with levels and member progress
Rewards
Rewards allow admins to recognize achievements tied to levels.
Rewards are text-based (offline rewards)
Examples:
“10% off at Level 3”
“Win $500 at Level 9”
Rewards appear to members as goals tied to progress

How to Set Up Gamification
Review Points, Levels, and Progress
Open your community
Navigate to the Leaderboard tab
Review how points and levels are progressing
This requires no setup points, and levels are enabled by default.
Grant Course Access Using Levels (Level Unlock)
You can unlock courses automatically as members level up.
Open your community
Go to the Learning tab
Add or edit a course
Set Course Visibility to Level Unlock
Select the required gamification level
Shows Level Unlock option when adding a course
How to Add Rewards
Step 1: Open Gamification & Rewards Settings
Open your community
Go to Group Settings
Select Gamification & Rewards
Shows navigation to Gamification & Rewards settings
Step 2: Add a Reward
Scroll to Rewards
Click Add Reward
Enter:
Title (example: “Win $500 at Level 9”)
Description (how members earn it)
Click Save
