Workflow Action: Modify Contact Engagement Score

The Modify Contact Engagement Score workflow action automatically adds or subtracts points from a contact’s Engagement Score when a workflow condition is met.

Use this action if you want to:

  • Score contacts based on engagement behavior

  • Increase or decrease lead priority automatically

  • Segment contacts using Engagement Score thresholds

  • Trigger follow-up workflows based on score changes

What the Action Does

When this action runs, Kyrios:

  • Adds or subtracts a defined number of points

  • Updates the contact’s Engagement Score immediately

  • Does not notify the contact (internal metric only)

Step 1: Open or Create a Workflow

  1. Go to Automation

  2. Select Workflows

  3. Click Create Workflow or open an existing one

Step 2: Add the Modify Contact Engagement Score Action

  1. In the workflow canvas, click the + icon

  2. Select Add Action

  3. Search for Modify Contact Engagement Score

  4. Click to add the action

Step 3: Configure the Action

Complete the required fields:

Action Name

  • Internal name for identifying this step

Adjustment

Choose one option:

  • Add – increases the score

  • Subtract – decreases the score

Points

  • Enter the numeric value to add or subtract

  • Example: 10

Step 4: (Optional) Use an Engagement Score Trigger

To trigger workflows based on score values:

  1. Add a trigger

  2. Select Contact Engagement Score

  3. Define conditions (example: Score equals 10)

This allows workflows to start when a contact reaches a specific score.

Step 5: Save and Test the Workflow

  1. Click Save Action

  2. Use workflow testing to validate score changes

  3. Confirm the contact’s Engagement Score updates correctly
