What's New

Kyrios now automatically generates alt text for supported e-commerce images and Store elements.

Alt text is created using existing metadata, including:

  • Product name

  • Variant name

  • Collection name

  • Store name

  • Payment method name

  • Store element context

This improves:

  • Search engine optimization (SEO)

  • Accessibility for screen readers

  • Image discoverability in search engines

If metadata is unavailable, supported fallback translations are used where applicable.

Automatic Alt Text for Product Images

Alt text is now generated automatically for Ecommerce product images.

Product Main Images

Product main images use the product name as the alt text.

Product Gallery Images

Product gallery images include the product name and image position.

Variant Images

Upsell products and bundle products automatically use the product name as alt text.

Automatic Alt Text for Collections and Store Branding

Alt text is also generated for collection and branding images.

Header logos automatically use the store name when custom alt text is not available.

There is currently no manual alt text input field for supported Ecommerce images and Store elements.

No.

This update only affects the underlying image alt attributes used for SEO and accessibility.
