How to Configure Buttons on Your Website

Learn how to add, configure, and animate buttons on Kyrios websites, including page buttons and navigation menu buttons.

Accessing Your Website Editor

  1. Go to Sites in the left navigation.

  2. Click Websites.

  3. Select the website you want to edit.

Opening a Page for Editing

  1. Click the website name.

  2. From the Pages tab, locate the page you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit on the page card.

Adding a Button to a Page

  1. In the website editor, click the Add Elements (+) icon.

  2. Open the Buttons section.

  3. Drag and drop a button style onto the page.

Configuring Button Actions

  1. Click the button on the page.

  2. In the settings panel, open Button Actions.

  3. Use the Link To dropdown to select an action.

Available Button Actions

You can assign one of the following actions to a button:

  • Open popup

  • Website URL

  • Download File

  • Hide & Show Elements

  • Scroll to Element

  • Step

  • Next step

  • One-click up/down sell product

  • Call

  • SMS

  • Email address

  • Membership

Linking a Button to a Website URL

  1. Select Website URL from the Link To dropdown.

  2. Enter the full URL.

  3. (Optional) Enable Open in New Tab.

Note:
You can also select a hosted file from your Media Library when using the Website URL.

Saving and Publishing Button Changes

  1. Click Save in the editor.

  2. Click Publish to make the changes live.

Adding Button Animations

Buttons support entrance, hover, and loop animations.

Entrance & Hover Animations

  1. Select the button.

  2. Open the Animations tab.

  3. Choose an Entrance animation or Hover animation.

  4. Click Clear to remove any animation.

Infinite Loop Animations

You can also apply continuous animations such as:

  • Glow

  • Rocking

  • Bounce

These run automatically without user interaction.

Configuring Navigation Menu Buttons (Optional)

Navigation menu buttons must be configured separately on each page.

Steps

  1. Open a page in the editor.

  2. Click the Navigation Menu element.

  3. Open Navigation Menu Settings.

  4. Under Menu Items, click Edit on a menu item.

  5. Enter the destination URL or page anchor.

  6. Click Submit.

  7. Click Save.

Common Issues and Fixes

The button does nothing when clicked

  • Confirm a Button Action is selected.

  • Re-publish the page after saving.

The navigation button works on one page but not on others

  • Navigation menus must be configured on every page individually.

Can I add multiple actions to a single button?

No. Each button can have only one action. Use multiple buttons if you need multiple actions.

How do I make a button open in a new tab?

Select Website URL and enable Open in New Tab.

Can I add animations to buttons?

Yes. Buttons support entrance, hover, and infinite loop animations in the Animations tab.

Do navigation buttons need to be set up on every page?

Yes. Navigation menus must be configured separately for each page.

Can I use a button to download a file?

Yes. Choose Download File and select the file from your Media Library.
