Attachments in Estimates & Invoices

You can attach up to 10 files (20 MB total) to Estimates and Invoices, and those attachments are sent automatically with the first email to the recipient.

This feature is for users who need to share supporting documents such as specifications, visuals, or terms, along with estimates or invoices.

Use this when clients need additional context without separate follow-up emails.

Where Attachments Are Supported

Attachments can be added in the following areas:

  • Estimates

  • Estimate Templates

  • Invoices

  • Recurring Invoices

Each document type uses the same attachment workflow.

How to Add Attachments to an Estimate

  1. Go to Payments → Estimates.

  2. Create a new estimate or open an existing one.

  3. Scroll to Additional Options.

  4. Enable Add Attachment.

  5. Click Upload or drag and drop files.

You can upload files directly from your device.

Uploading from Media Storage

You can also attach files already stored in Media Storage.

  1. Click Add Attachment.

  2. Open Media Storage.

  3. Select one or more files to attach.

This is useful for reusing logos, images, or documents across multiple estimates.

What Recipients See

When the estimate or invoice is sent:

  • Attachments are included with the email.

  • Recipients can download the files directly.

  • The estimate link remains unchanged.

Attachments help ensure clients receive all required information in one message.

Attachment Limits and Rules

  • Maximum files: 10 per document

  • Maximum size: 20 MB total (combined)

  • Allowed file types: PNG, CSV, PDF

  • Attachments are sent only on the first send of an invoice or estimate.

Important Behavior to Know

  • Attachments are not resent on:

    • Resends

    • Scheduled sends

    • Automated follow-ups

  • Attachments added after the first send will not be delivered automatically.

  • Each document must stay within the size and file count limits to send successfully.
