How to Add SEO Titles, Descriptions, and URLs to Products in Your Ecommerce Store

Use this guide if you:

  • Sell products using the Kyrios ecommerce store

  • Want products indexed by Google or other search engines

  • Need to control how product pages appear in search results

  • Cannot see SEO settings on a product and need to enable them

How Product SEO Works in Kyrios

Product SEO settings control:

  • The SEO Title shown in search results

  • The SEO Description shown under the title

  • The Handle (URL path) used for the product page

SEO settings are only available when a product is included in the online store.

Step 1: Open the Products Page

  1. Go to Payments in the left-side menu.

  2. Click Products.

  3. Select an existing product, or click Create Product to add a new one.

Step 2: Enable “Include in Online Store”

  1. Open the product.

  2. In the Product Information section, locate Include in Online Store.

  3. Toggle this option ON.

Important:
If this option is OFF, SEO fields will not appear anywhere on the product.

Step 3: Open the Search Engine Listing Section

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the product editor.

  2. Locate the Search Engine Listing section.

This section controls all SEO metadata for the product.

Step 4: Add SEO Title, Description, and Handle

SEO Title

  • Enter a clear, keyword-focused title.

  • Maximum length: 70 characters

  • Example: Cute Portable Cups for Dogs

SEO Description

  • Enter a short summary that encourages clicks.

  • Maximum length: 155 characters

  • Include relevant keywords naturally.

Handle (URL)

  • This is the product’s URL path.

  • Use lowercase letters and keywords.

  • Each product must have a unique handle.

After saving:

  • The handle becomes part of the live product URL.

  • Search engines use this URL for indexing.

  • Customers see this URL when visiting the product page.

Common Issues and Fixes

SEO section is missing

  • Ensure Include in Online Store is toggled ON.

Product page not indexing

  • Confirm the product is published.

  • Ensure the handle is unique.

  • Avoid special characters or spaces in the handle.

SEO description not fully showing in Google

  • Keep descriptions under 155 characters.

  • Google may rewrite descriptions automatically.

Best Practices for Product SEO

  • Use one main keyword per product

  • Match SEO title closely to the product name

  • Write descriptions for humans, not keyword stuffing

  • Keep URLs short and readable

  • Use consistent naming across all products
