Enhanced Contacts Import Experience

The Enhanced Contacts Import Experience provides a faster, clearer, and more controlled way to import contacts (and opportunities) with improved mapping, deduplication, and detailed post-import statistics.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this feature if you are importing contacts or opportunities in bulk and need clearer validation, better deduplication control, and detailed success/error reporting after the import.


Enable the Enhanced Import Experience (Beta)

You must enable the Beta feature before using the enhanced import flow.

  1. Go to Settings in your sub-account.

  2. Open Beta.

  3. Enable Enhanced Contact Import.

Once enabled, all new imports use the enhanced flow.


Start a New Import

  1. Go to Contacts.

  2. Click Import in the top action bar.

  3. On the Start step, select what you want to import:

    • Contacts only, or

    • Contacts and Opportunities.

  4. Click Next.


Upload File and Configure Import

  1. Upload your CSV file.

  2. Choose how contacts should be handled:

    • Create contacts

    • Update contacts

    • Create and update contacts

  3. Select how Kyrios should find existing contacts (deduplication):

    • Example: Email, then phone

Deduplication rules are unified with global settings and can be adjusted from Settings.

Click Next to continue.


Map Columns to Fields

The mapping screen ensures each column in your file matches a Kyrios field.

  1. Review required fields under Mapping guide.

  2. For each column:

    • Select the corresponding Contact field.

    • Confirm the mapping status shows Mapped.

  3. Optionally prevent overwriting data by enabling Don’t update to an empty value.

  4. Leave unmapped columns unselected or choose Don’t import data in unmapped columns.

Click Next when all required fields are mapped.


Verify and Finalize Import

Before starting the import, review preferences and confirmations.

  1. Optional actions:

    • Create a Smart List for newly created contacts.

    • Add contacts to a Workflow.

    • Add Tags to imported contacts.

  2. Review mapped fields and uploaded document.

  3. Confirm the consent checkbox.

  4. Click Start Bulk Import.


View Import Results and Statistics

After completion, detailed statistics are available from the Bulk Actions page.

  1. Go to Bulk Actions.

  2. Locate your import and click View Details.

You can review:

  • Total records processed

  • Successful imports

  • Errors

  • Warnings

Bulk Import Stats Breakdown

  • Success: Records created or updated successfully

  • Error: Records that failed and were not imported

  • Warning: Records imported with non-blocking issues

You can download detailed error and warning logs for troubleshooting.

Common Issues and Fixes

Import Shows Errors After Completion

  • Download the error log from Bulk Import Stats.

  • Fix the listed issues in your CSV file.

  • Re-run the import with corrected data.

Records Not Updating

  • Confirm Create and update contacts was selected.

  • Verify deduplication fields (email/phone) match existing records.

Fields Marked as Pending in Mapping

  • Pending fields are optional.

  • Required fields must be mapped before proceeding.
