This feature is for users who want to quickly create professional, on-brand emails inside workflows without manually writing copy, such as for promotions, announcements, follow-ups, or reminders.

What Email Action AI Does

Email Action AI is a built-in AI assistant inside the Send Email workflow action that generates email content based on a user-provided description.

The AI produces a suggested email subject and body, which can be reviewed, modified, regenerated, and inserted directly into the workflow.

Where to Find Email Action AI

Email Action AI is available inside the Send Email action in the Workflow Builder.

  1. Open an existing workflow or create a new one.

  2. Add or select a Send Email action.

  3. Locate the Write with AI button in the message editor.

How to Generate an Email Using AI

Generating an email with AI follows a guided, step-by-step flow inside the Send Email action.

Step 1: Open the AI Assistant

Click Write with AI to open the Email Action AI assistant.

This opens a modal where prompts and tone can be configured before generating content.

Step 2: Select an Email Tone (Optional)

The Tone setting controls the writing style of the generated email.

  • Tone selection is optional.

  • If no tone is selected, the AI uses a neutral default tone.

Common tone examples include persuasive, friendly, professional, or informative.

Step 3: Enter a Prompt

The prompt describes what the email should accomplish.

Prompts should clearly state:

  • The purpose of the email

  • The audience

  • Any desired outcome or action

Example prompt:

Write a promotional email asking users to use a holiday discount and purchase Christmas-themed merchandise.

More specific prompts produce more accurate results.

Step 4: Generate the Email

Click Generate Email to create the email.

The AI produces:

  • A suggested Email Subject

  • A fully written Email Body

Reviewing and Editing the Generated Email

After generation, the email preview appears inside the AI modal.

You can:

  • Edit the subject or body manually

  • Request changes using the modification input

  • Regenerate the email with a follow-up prompt

Using or Discarding the AI-Generated Content

The final step determines how the generated email is applied.

  • Use Subject: Enables or disables inserting the AI-generated subject line

  • Use Email: Inserts the email content into the Send Email action

  • Cancel: Discards the generated content

Once inserted, the email behaves like any manually written workflow email.

Common Issues and Fixes

AI Button Is Not Visible

Cause: The Send Email action is not selected or the editor is not active.

Fix: Click into the Send Email action and ensure the message editor is visible.

Generated Email Does Not Match Expectations

Cause: The prompt was too broad or lacked context.

Fix: Regenerate the email using a more specific prompt that includes audience, intent, and tone.

Subject Line Is Incorrect

Cause: The AI-generated subject does not fit the campaign.

Fix: Disable Use Subject or manually edit the subject before inserting the email.
